One of the key-pieces from the exhibition Visual archaeology surely was the 1:100 scaled replica of the Parthenon: a huge 3D printed model 70 cm long. The model is composed by 3 pieces and so it’s possible to interact with the structure and also visualize the interiors, such as the magnificent Athena Parthenos statue “hidden” inside. The photographs surrounding the model allow to visualize the surviving decoration fragments. Each of them is labelled with a colour that marks the current place of conservation. I personally designed the 3D model which was then printed by 3D Archeolab.
